Task for Visual / Spatial / Linguistic / Intrapersonal Intelligences
Requirements for poster:
1.Size of the poster should be A2 (420 x 594 mm).
2. It should be in full colour.
3. You may produce it by hand or using computer.
4. The company name should be visible on the poster.
5. Details of the farm product (e.g. prices, different size packaging) should be provided on the poster.
On top of that, you are required to design and create a promotional item that would help to promote the farm product. This item would be given out free-of-charge to the public at where the posters are placed.
Requirements for promotional item:
1. The item should not be too bulky and expensive (remember it is to be given out in public and free-of-charge!).
2. The item must relate to the farm produce you are promoting.
3. You have to create a sample of the item which is to be presented to the judging panel during the project presentation.
You have to prepare a PowerPoint presentation (no more than 15 slides) that explains your poster (such as the choice of colours, inclusion of certain features) and promotional item to your client. This is to be presented during the project presentation. The presentation should not exceed 10 minutes.

Your results will help your fellow colleagues in the advertising team to conceptualise suitable marketing campaigns for the farm company. The aim is to increase the acceptance of this local farm product among the
The sample size should be around 30-50. Based on your research, your group has to present your findings to your supervisors. Your presentation can be in the form of PowerPoint, graphical charts and others. Your presentation should not exceed 10 minutes. Your presentation should include the following:
o The survey questions which your team has designed
o The profile of your survey population (Pick not more than 3 age groups for your survey and justify your choice.)
o The results of the survey (in graphical representations)
o General trends and patterns noted
o Reasons to account for the noted trends and patterns
o The importance of your data to future marketing plans
o Suggested marketing strategies to increase the acceptance of this local farm product among Singaporeans
Your market survey should look at areas/factors that affect the acceptance and popularity of this local farm product. For example, the background of consumers (e.g. education level, income level), the availability of this local farm product in the neighbourhood and prices of product may affect the sales.
You will need to submit all your completed survey forms on the day of presentation.

As marketing research executives of DHS Advertising, your team has been assigned to do a market survey on the public perception of this future farm resort. Your results will help the owners of the local farms to plan and design their farm resort.
Your survey should include the following:
1) Suitable resort themes for 2 or 3 of the following target groups: yuppies (young working professionals), active senior citizens, families with children, charitable organizations that organize trips for the elderly or secondary school students on excursions.
2) Facilities to be included in the farm resort
3) Resort Packages-what they wish to be included in the sum they pay for staying in the farm resort
4) Ideal price of the resort packages
5) Ideal price of the products and souvenirs

As advertising executives in DHS advertising, your team has been appointed to produce a TV commercial that would help to promote the farm product of a local farm company. The commercial will be aired during primetime on Channels U and 8.
Requirements for TV commercial:
1. The commercial must be done in Mandarin.
2. You need to include an original rap or jingle (original tune and Chinese lyrics) in the commercial. Copies of the lyrics must be presented to judging panel during project presentation.
3. The rap / jingle should be simple and easy to remember.
4. Name of the farm company and farm product should be significantly displayed during the commercial.
5. Details of the farm and its product must be prominently featured in the commercial and rap/jingle.
6. You are required to produce a draft storyboard during your consultation session with your mentor (also in Chinese). A storyboard is a series of drawings (similar to comic strips) that shows the flow of images in your commercial.
7. A final storyboard has to be presented during the project presentation (which will be assessed).
8. If you choose to pre-record the commercial, the final cut should be edited and presented on the computer during the project presentation. The commercial should not exceed 3 minutes or 180 seconds.
You are strongly advised to use a video-camera to do the recording (instead of cellphones or digital cameras) as the quality of images will affect your assessment.
9. You may choose to present the commercial by acting it out in front of the judging panel. You will have to prepare the necessary props needed. The commercial should not exceed 5 minutes or 300 seconds.
10.The presentation of your storyboard and commercial should not exceed 10 minutes.
